There's a party going on right here

Well, la-di-dah, guess who's gainfully employed? Guess who got asked if she can start as soon as Monday? Guess whose husband said, "Oh, that's great news! I was just thinking, Well, I guess I can start hooking."? Phew! Just in the nick of time.

The company seems delightfully together and decent, and the people I've met with do as well; most of them are not from Los Angeles, so that explains that. Now here's the part that's like the good advice that you just didn't take (and who would've thought? It figures!). It's for a company out of this great nation's Midwest; however... however, it's on the campus of the Big Japanese Car Company. Womp, womp, womp, WOOOOOOMP!

Some time ago I would have found this embarrassing. However at this point, not much embarrasses me. In fact I called an old superior at the BJCC, one who'd said I could buy him lunch if I got the job (thanks..?), and let him know they offered me the job on the spot.

"My God!" he said. "What were you wearing?"

"I'm not telling," I said, "But it was obviously intriguing."

A salary! Imagine that.

Congratulations! Having a job is great, but are you also excited about the KIND of job? I hope so!

Thanks, ladies. Oh yes, the job itself sounds like a great match for me; it's the same thing as what I was doing at the last job, which, if you recall, was dream-perfect except for the owner. So, something I'm good at, close to home, in a familiar environment... not too shabby!

Emma-Make sure to buy yourself something fabulous with that first paycheck! And you are right about doubt - somehow and I don't know how - things always manage to work out in the end.
