Conversations With A Two-Year-Old

We heard a small child crying from across the car park in our complex.

Luke: Why is the baby crying?

Me: I don't know. Maybe he's angry. Or maybe he's sad. He might be hungry, or tired. Babies cry when they're angry, sad, hungry or tired. Just like Lukie. Just like Mama.

Him, after a thoughtful pause: He's hungry for juice.

Me: Maybe his mama gave him some. He's not crying anymore.

Him, after another thoughtful pause: He wants a nap.

Me: Maybe. [Pause] Do you like this song? Isn't it great?

Him: [Pausing to pay attention, eyes widening and a slow smile spreading across his face] YES!

Thanks for checking out my blog :D, let me know how the food turns out!

Luke is such a cute kid. He seems like quite an inquisitive and huggable little man. I look forward to meeting him! Jose and I both agree that he's one of the cutest little boys we've ever seen :), his pictures are always adorable!
